A Space-Time Cartesian Cut-Cell Method for Two-Phase Diffusion Problems using a Two-Fluid Approach
Louis Libat, Can Selçuk, Eric Chénier, Vincent Le Chenadec
We present a conservative Cartesian cut-cell finite-volume framework for sharp-interface two-phase diffusion, using phase-wise scalar fields coupled by embedded jump/interface conditions and low-order geometric moments. The method extends naturally to prescribed moving interfaces through space-time cut-cell balances, preserving conservation across fresh/dead cells and showing quadratic convergence with robust enforcement of interfacial laws.

Prediction of the source term of a fire, using machine learning approach, as part of the PEIGASE programme
Louis Libat, Giacomo Erez
The Terme Source project explores ML methods to estimate fire source terms, predicting fire duration from BSPP operation data and HRR from fire-scene images. Both supervised and deep learning models were trained and validated, achieving satisfactory predictions with errors below about 20%.
